Are you a developer passionate about cloud technology and love sharing your knowledge with fellow developers? Do you enjoy creating content that simplifies complex concepts and inspires others to build? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Amazon Web Service (AWS) is seeking a Developer Advocate in Mexico City. As a Developer Advocate your mission will be to empower developers to leverage AWS services effectively in their applications.

As a Developer Advocate for AWS in Latin America, you'll dive deep into AWS technologies, exploring how our services can solve complex operational challenges and drive innovation in the industry. You will inspire other developers about AWS. Your role will involve a mix of hands-on coding, content creation, and community engagement.

Key job responsibilities
- Developing demos, prototypes and delivering technical presentations showcasing AWS solutions.
- Creating educational content such as blog posts, tutorials, videos, and workshops.
- Engaging with the developer community through events, social media, forums, and Q&A platforms.
- Staying current with the latest trends in cloud technologies.
- Collaborating with internal teams to provide feedback on the developer experience and product improvements.
- Traveling to events and conferences to represent AWS and share knowledge with the AWS Community.
- Mentoring developers in implementing AWS solutions for complex technical challenges.

A day in the life
Your day might start with a team standup to align on projects. You could then spend time developing a demo on AWS solutions, followed by writing a blog post. In the afternoon, you might prepare for a webinar, engage with the developer community on Stack Overflow, and explore new solutions. Your role combines technical expertise, content creation, and community engagement to inspire and educate developers.

Basic Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years as a Software Developer.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, within technical and business settings.
- Comfortable with modern applications architecture.
- Availability to travel across Latin America.

Preferred Qualifications


- Hands-on experience with AWS services relevant to developers.
- Experience delivering technical content to developers of diverse backgrounds.
- Experience engaging with developer communities, including creating technical content, public speaking, or active participation on platforms like GitHub and Stack Overflow.
