Job Description
**Uber Direct** is our last-mile delivery-as-a-service solution. It enables merchants across a wide range of verticals—Food, Grocery, Retail, Ecommerce—to deliver orders generated on their own platforms (outside of Uber’s marketplace) using our expansive courier network. In addition to working directly with multiple retailers and e-commerce players, Uber Direct is also partnering with traditional third-party logistics providers to combine their strengths and provide an E2E logistic solution to all merchants.
This role will be a pillar of the Uber Direct team in France and report directly to the General Manager of Uber Direct and work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Product, and the EMEA Central Uber Direct team.
As **Logistics Lead for Uber Direct in France**, you will be responsible for developing and leading the logistics go-to-market strategy. You’ll help define our local value proposition and operating model, manage RFQs and commercial proposals for key enterprise opportunities, and lead the commercial strategy to further build Uber Direct into a competitive logistics solution in the French market, including through tailored partnerships with other logistics players. This role is a unique blend of strategic thinking, solution design, and commercial and operational execution.
**What You Will Do**
- **Define and own Uber Direct’s logistics value proposition in France**, leveraging your market insights to shape our positioning across retail, grocery, and e-commerce, and guiding the development of new operating models for same-day and next-day delivery in collaboration with Operations and Product teams.
- **Develop and execute go-to-market strategy** to grow our footprint in the B2B logistics sector, including the expansion of service offerings and strategic partnerships with key players in the logistics ecosystem.
- **Establish and nurture strategic relationships** with large retailers, aggregators, and traditional 3PL providers, serving as a trusted advisor to support their logistics transformation initiatives.
- **Lead complex commercial engagements**, including managing RFQs and RFPs from Enterprise clients, and aligning internal product and operational capabilities with client requirements. Craft and deliver compelling commercial proposals tailored to prospective partners’ needs to drive adoption and business growth.
- **Partner cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders**—including Legal, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Product—to align on priorities and ensure seamless deal execution. Influence product and operational roadmap planning by advocating for merchant needs and surfacing data-backed business cases for enhancements.
- **Monitor commercial and operational performance**, ensuring visibility into pipeline health, reporting progress against growth targets, and improving efficiency for scalable growth. Monitoring operational reliability and driving continuous improvement for merchant and end-customer needs, in collaboration with the Operations team.
**What You Will Need**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, B2B sales, supply chain, transport purchasing, strategy, or business development, ideally within last-mile delivery, e-commerce logistics, or 3PL environments.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a track record of launching new business lines or verticals or implementing complex cross-functional projects.
- Proven ability to operate cross-functionally and influence without authority.
- Highly analytical and comfortable working with financial models and commercial metrics.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building in "start-up within a scale-up" environments.
- Knowledge of on-demand, same-day, or instant delivery landscape.
- Fluent in French and English.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience managing complex sales processes including RFQs, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiation is a plus.
- Experience working with 3PLs or traditional logistics providers.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and sales pipeline reporting.
