The Prime Video International Expansion and Commerce team is seeking an experienced, analytical and results-oriented Program Manager to lead our Launch Readiness team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high performing team and set the vision for scaling the organization while maintaining the highest standards for timeliness and quality.
This role blends people leadership and program management, guiding highly operational teams and managing cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leading successful programs and operations teams, a bias for process improvement, and the ability to think strategically and creatively to solve business challenges. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing resource allocation, prioritizing goals, and fostering an inspiring work environment for fellow Amazonians.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for the end-to-end process of PV Store partner launches.
- Provide end-to-end support for optimizations within the operation, team productivity, customer experience and workforce metrics.
- Centrally own the international roadmap, facilitate cross-regional trade-offs, and own the international reporting mechanism.
- Manage planning and deliverables for multiple programs, including resource allocation and infrastructure planning.
- Identify and implement solutions and pilots to drive process efficiencies & business goals.
- Proactively gather, analyze, and share data with management to influence business decisions.
- Analyze defects and develops programs that fix root causes, escalating when required to drive closure.
- Coach and develop the team on operational workflows and employee career growth.
- Work closely with tech teams to get all internal tool related issues escalated and resolved.

The Operations Manager is expected to own their business and the needs of their customers. Managers in our organization develop internal working relationships, are skilled Program Managers in delivering multiple high priority programs, and are self-starters in defining visions and process improvement opportunities. They develop high performing teams with clear goals to ensure team success, and partner closely with partner, technology and design leadership to deliver the highest quality work and therefore provide excellent customer and partner experiences.
Leaders in this team have direct accountability for continuously improving customer satisfaction and efficiency of our teams. They will have the ability to tackle challenging and novel situations on a daily basis with a high degree of ambiguity, and have a proven track record of staying connected to the details of the projects/businesses, by drilling down on fuzzy information, refusing to accept generalizations or light-weighted responses and knowing when to get involved without micromanaging.
About the team
Our work spans Prime Video business and technology teams, as well as our external content partners. The team is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle for delivering new content selection for customers through the launch of new partners on our Store experiences (Prime Video Channels and Transactional Video). The Prime Video Launch Readiness plays an essential role in ensuring that Prime Video remains the premier global entertainment destination, providing accurate and complete content for our customers. Our team consists of entertainment enthusiasts based in Chennai and Costa Rica, and works closely with teams based across the world.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of team management experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Proven track record in leading mid/large, cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction across complex multifaceted operations.
- Strategic mindset with a track record of collaborating with senior leadership to define and execute process improvement initiatives that align with broader business objectives.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience and understanding of digital media and/or digital video supply chain.
- Proven experience in data analysis, either through professional experience or educational qualifications, and the ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Passionate about video content, online streaming platforms, and e-commerce, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics.
- Experience in negotiation.
